I want this home to be a place that my husband can unwind and relax and not have to stress about clutter, dirty dishes, laundry, etc. I want to manage my time more wisely and get this 'nest egg' looking good for my hubby. I want to be a better wife/homemaker than I have ever been. If you are interested in giving a little of your time as well, go to "Hands on Birmingham" and sign up.ģ. I have already signed up for 3 different opportunities and have a friend that is sticking to it with me. It feels good to help those that are in need of it and I want to do more of it this year. Volunteer more of my time to helping others- Christmas isn't the only time of year to do this. You can watch our services online, listen to old ones, or post prayer requests you may have.Ģ.

Read my bible/pray more often- Where would I be if God didn't think He had the time for me? How can I not want to devote more time to further developing my relationship with Him? He is my ALL! He is my waymaker! My fortress, my strength, my help, my provider, my healer, my EVERYTHING!!! Without Him I would be nothing! But with His help I want to be more, I want to be better! If you feel the same, you should start by visiting my church's website. With all this change, I still want to be me.just a better version of me. I really DO want to be different, but most importantly I want to follow through with my change.and I want it to stick. I'm not going to just run my mouth about this and that. I am not making any irrational, radical decisions to 'change' unless I've already thought it through and committed to it in my mind. (In all fairness, there are a few of you guys that actually did follow through with your hopes of a better year.and to you I give an applause.more like a standing ovation actually) Seriously! Did you really drop all the weight that you resolved to lose from the year before? Did you make amends with the person that you haven't spoken to in ages? Did you get a better job? Or even a raise? Have you attended church more than just on Easter and Christmas? And the list goes on and on, my friends. Come on! How often do people actually stick by those? They come and they go, as fleeting as the snow here in Birmingham. Just because you want something it doesn't mean that it will happen all of a sudden, just because you made a 'resolution' to yourself.

Just to be fair, I really don't believe in all those resolutions that people promise to keep.

With a new year, comes a new person.a person that I can be more proud of than ever before.
